Considering this is a movie about code-breaking during World War 2, The Imitation Game is one of the most suspenseful and exciting movies of the year. Benedict Cumberbatch is outstanding, the story is fascinating and at times heartbreaking, and I was hooked from the very beginning. Although a couple of movies are considered the front runners for Best Picture, I can’t help but feel like they pale in comparison to this one. I’m sorry, but both Boyhood and Birdman were fascinating because of the way they told the story, but this one was much better specifically because of the story. One of, if not the best movie, of the year.
